Jesús Alonso-Regalado, bibliographer and outreach librarian at the State University of New York at Albany, writes a piece on the Global Market Forum “Reading Mexico,” part of the recent BookExpo 2013 in New York. The forum explored the publishing industry of that country, including sales figures, book production and distribution, and digital projects. The author also gives his take on Mexico's exhibition at the fair.
“This year's BookExpo offered us something of interest. It's Global Market Forum focused on Mexican publishing industry,” writes Alonso-Regalado. “This event provided an excellent opportunity to discuss the current situation in the Mexican book industry in the most important book fair in the United States. The program was presented under the theme Reading Mexico.” Read the complete piece published by Salalm, here.
