Thousands of people visit the 72 edition of the fair, that started this weekend and will end June 16th. Among the authors present this year are Arturo Pérez-Reverte, Javier Sierra, Almudena Grandes and Carmen Posadas, reports El Mundo.

“Proof that the first weekend of the Madrid Book Fair has overflowed the forecasts, is that exhibitors are about to exhaust the first batch of official bags, about 100,000 units, which are provided for each copy sold,” says El Mundo, adding that the fair director, Theodore Sexton, is very optimistic with the event's success.
