What genres does Ediciones Morata primarily publish?

Ediciones Morata, S.L. primarily publishes humanities and social science works destined specially for educators, psychologists, practicing professionals and university students in Spain and Latin America.

How can your books be obtained in the United States?

Directly through our website, www.edmorata.es, either in e-book or print format, and also through the following retailers: Bilingual Publications Co. in New York: (212) 431-3500 or lindagoodman@juno.com; Latin American Book Source, in Chula Vista, California: (619) 426-1226 or latambooks@home.com; and Puvill Libros S.A. What books or collections would you recommend for a readership in the United States?

The collection ¿Y tú?, ¿qué opinas? (And You?, What Do You Think?) offers explanatory works on great topical issues such as human rights, sustainable development, art, racism, environmental pollution, freedom on the Internet, and child labor, and is highly recommended for public and educational libraries. We offer an extensive catalogue for education and psychology professionals. For libraries, I can also recommend the book Tu bebé. Guía práctica de tu pediatra (Your Baby. A Practical Guide from Your Pediatrician), an essential reference for mothers and fathers during a baby's first year. In 2012, we inaugurated the collection Terapia familiar iberoamericana (Ibero-American Family Therapy), a model of family therapy closely linked to Latin American culture.

What new works are in the offing for 2013?

Focusing on the first quarter of the new year, we are publishing a new title for the collection ¿Y tú?, ¿qué opinas? (And You?, What Do You Think?), dealing with the subject of refugees, and a new title for the collection Terapia familiar iberoamericana (Ibero-American Family Therapy) about seniors. In education, a pedagogical guide based on Diálogo creativo. Hablar para pensar en el aula (Creative Dialogue. Talking to Stimulate Thinking in the Classroom), and to foster creativity among schoolchildren Arte y creatividad en Reggio Emilia (Art and Creativity in Reggio Emilia). Among Spanish authors, Professor Gimeno offers us his latest work, En busca del sentido de la educación (In Search of the Meaning of Education).
