ARS presents video of Mario Vargas Llosa accepting speech of the Carlos Fuentes Prize

The nobel prized writer won the inaugural Carlos Fuentes International Prize for Literary Creation in the Spanish Language. ARS shares the video of his accepting speech.

"I am well aware that this generous decision of the jury is due largely to me being something like the last operating survivor of that movement or group of writers, that from the 60s gave light and spread the Latin American narrative through the world. I refer to the so called Boom," said Vargas Llosa. The Mexican president attended the ceremony, as well as members of the government and the cultural community.
