Laura Gallego wins National Prize for Children and Young Adult Literature 2012

The Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports honored the author for her book “Donde los árboles cantan” (Where trees sing.)

Laura Gallego was named the winner of the 2012 National Prize for Children and Young Adult Literature (Premio Nacional de Literatura Infantil y Juvenil) for her book Donde los árboles cantan. This award is given by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports to recognize a work of a Spanish author written in one of the official languages of the country, and edited in Spain in 2011. The award grant is for 20,000 euros.
