Yolanda Reyes is the winner of the XVI Premio Iberoamericano SM (Iberoamerican) Literary Award for Children and Young Adults.

The Colombian writer was recognized for the versatility of her work and the typical path she follows to a literature that is deeply human.

For her contributions as a writer, essayist, journalist, editor, promoter, bookseller, lecturer, librarian, early childhood activist, researcher, reading and writing teacher and for being a great representative of the world of children and young adult literature in Iberoamerica, Yolanda Reyes was unanimously declared the winner of the XVI SM Iberoamerican Prize for Children and Young Adult Literature.
In this edition, the XVI SM Ibero-American Prize for Children and Young Adult Literature received eleven nominations from eight Latin American countries (Argentina, Honduras, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Chile and Uruguay).
