More than a thousand authors and editors receive aid from CEDRO’s COVID Fund

Authors can still request collaboration. A total of 1,068 authors and editors have benefited from the aid that CEDRO has made available to its partners to alleviate the effects of the pandemic caused by COVID-19.

The CEDRO board of directors approved on May 20th a COVID Fund endowed with 500,000 euros, distributed equally for the author and publishing collective, of which almost 300,000 euros have already been granted.

"We are very happy to be able to help the sector with this COVID Fund created with CEDRO's own resources," says Pedro Sánchez, head of the partner department of the entity. In addition, Sánchez explains that “the item for publishers has already been exhausted. We have had the support of the associations of the sector to be able to speed up the procedures”. In the case of the authors, it clarifies that “they can still request this help. We encourage our writing partners, translators and journalists to visit our website for information”.
