In response to the current situation and international travel restrictions, the International Book Fair promoted by the Spanish Association of Publishers Guilds (FGEE), will be held from October 27 to 29 through a virtual platform with the aim to help the publishing sector to regain commercial momentum, especially abroad. Organized by Fira de Barcelona, ??the new proposal combines the presentation of news and editorial funds by more than two hundred exhibitors and 400 planned publishing houses, with business meetings with invited buyers and prescribers from more than 60 countries, as well as meetings with different Spanish professionals from the world of books. Also included in this online environment are the Liber Professional Days that will address the adaptation of the book world to the post-pandemic market.
In this way, Liber, the international benchmark professional fair for books in Spanish, is transformed and adapted to the situation generated by Covid19 with a new concept that will add professionals from the entire book market in a digital environment, generating business opportunities inside and outside Spain, knowledge and debate of the publishing sector, as well as commercial contacts of interest.
