The organizing committee of the Madrid Book Fair has unanimously decided to cancel this year’s edition of the event, which was to be celebrated from October 12-18.

This most difficult and distressful decision was made taking into consideration the responsible precautions in light of the situation caused by the Corona Virus pandemic and the projections for September.

Although rumors grew stronger by the day, it did not make this decision less painful of having to cancel our beloved Book Fair.  The restrictions that were being imposed have been the cause which finally pushed the cancellation of this literary event.  There were not going to be book signings in the publishers and booksotores bootths, but rather they were going to take place under a tent and would need to be stopped every three hours to desinfect them.
