"Los Cerros de Úbeda"' Historical Novel Contest is in the process of accepting entries.

After the successful response to the "Los Cerros de Úbeda"' Historical Novel Contest, in which 68 unpublished novels participated, the organization will hold their second annual contest. They will award the best historical novel published in the year 2019.

We are now entering the fifth edition of this contest, which in previous years was awarded to the following writers: Javier Olivares, Sebastián Roa, José Calvo Poyato e I. Biggi, for their respective novels.  This competition came to be in order to determine the best historical novel of the year.  Publishers present their books on that genre to be evaluated by a literary committee.

Afterwards, a jury made up of prestigious writers (Jesús Maeso de la Torre, Emilio Lara, Isabel San Sebastián and the literary journalist, Javier Velasco Oliaga), pick the winner from among those works chosen by the literary committee.
