Publishers Weekly arrives in Spain via Seville.

"Publishers Weekly en español" (Publishers Weekly in Spanish) hopes to see the light in the fall of 2020. Today, the American magazine, Publishers Weekly, announced in their web, the publication of a new magazine in Spanish named Publishers Weekly en Español, ..

which will be published 26 times a year, in both paper and digital formats.  Although official confirmation is not available yet, they hope to publish the first issue before the Madrid and Frankfurt Book Fairs.  At the same time, they hope to reach the Spanish-speaking population in the USA before 2022.  The magazine has come to life through the support of the Seville- based company, Lantia, provider of services to publishers, writers, private companies, and public entities.

In the announcement made by Publishers Weekly, Enrique Parrilla, CEO of Lantia Publishing, emphasized the fact that the American company has been operating for 150 years.  He also expressed "that those who need to buy or sell books need Publishers Weekly.  The Spanish-speaking market has not been able to take advantage of this very objective reference point for bookstores, libraries and publishers.  Now, the most important buyers of Spanish Books -managers of bookstores and libraries, as well as almost 530 million Spanish-speakers, will have access to news and reviews about the publication and sales of books."
