Study on reading habits during quarantine

Readers have increased their reading habits 63.8% during quarantine. This data has been gathered by an online survey done by ExLibric, a publishing company forming part of the IC Group.

.  Over 2,000 readers have been surveyed since the order of non-essential business closings and home confiment was enforced.

Books are loyal friends and have kept us company during this quarantine.  Readers are reading even more now; that is the conclusión reached by the Study conducted among readers.  There has been an increase in average hours of reading per day, and days per week without there being specific times.  Readers have also read books that were already available in their homes and their new purchases have been online through Amazon.

Other data gathered by Exlibric:

36.5% of readers confirm that they are reading more than 5 hours a week.

61.7% have opted for paper copies.

38% of readers have finished books that were pending.

40% of reading materials have been purchased through Amazon.

96% confirm that reading has been key in order to overcome this crisis.
