Dover Public Library announces Spanish outreach initiatives

Maria Pilar Gonzalez Navarro, a native of Spain, will be at the library from 4 to 5 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays to offer bilingual assistance. She will read letters and other correspondence written in English and translate them into Spanish.

She will also make phone calls and fill out applications and other forms, including car titles and school registration forms.

Sherrel Rieger, a retired Spanish teacher, will offer notary services in Spanish from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays. Rieger is also available to assist people with making copies and sending faxes.
