A biography of Galdós wins the XXXII Comillas Award (Premio Comillas)

On the centennial of his death, the author, Professor Yolanda Arencibia, wins the accolade for her “masterpiece narrative on the life and work of one of the great masters of Spain”

A biography of  Benito Pérez Galdós has won the Premio Comillas de Historias, Biografía y Memorias (Premio Comillas of Histories, Biographies and Memoirs).  

Yolanda Arencibia has achieved this distinction awarded by Tusquets Publishing for her work which is considered a “masterpiece narrative of the life and work of one of the great masters of Spain,” as stated by the jury panel emphasizing “the very ambitious work which presents to the reader a very exhaustive and delicious amount of knowledge of creative literature and historical and cultural context of an author whose work is still very relevant today.”
