Writer Isabel-Clara Simó dies at the age of 76

Author of over 50 books. In 2017 was awarded with the Premi d'Honor de les Lletres Catalanes (Honorary Award of the Catalan language).

The writer Isabel-Clara Simó has died at the age of 76, reported by souces close to the author.  She was born in Alcoy on April 4, 1943 and obtained a degree in philosophy at the Universitat de Valéncia, leading her path to the Premi Victor Catalá. This coming Friday the Tiana Negra Festival was scheduled to honor her with an act where she was to participate. 

For years, Simó has been suffering from a degenerative disease.  She received a degree in Philosophy from the Universitat de Valéncia, worked as a professor in Bunyol and later worked in the Ramón Montaner de Figueres High School in Girona.  Her first literary recognition was in 1978 with the Victor Catalá Award for her first book “Es quan miro que hi veig clar.”
