Spain’s Readmagine and Digital Distributors Meeting Announce Programming

The Readmagine event in Madrid this June includes the International Digital Distributors Meeting and discussions on ebooks, AI, and other tech topics.

his year’s Readmagine conference in Madrid–again at the the Fundación Germán Sánchez Ruipérez‘s superb Casa del Lector (House of Reading) facility–is taking place on June 5–6.

The conference program produced by José Manuel Anta of the International Publishing Distribution Association in collaboration with Luis González, director general of the foundation.

On June 5, the Readmagine programming is themed “Learning Within the Boundaries” with a host of international speakers looking at new audiences, artificial intelligence, and more.

On June 6, the sixth International Digital Distributors Meeting (#6IDDM) will convene with topics on tap including subscription models, distribution issues, and “voice tech.”

The first day, under the Readmagine banner, features a keynote address from Brian O’Leary, executive director of the US Book Industry Study Group (BISG), his topic being “Publishing in the Exponential Age.”

Other speakers on the 5th of June include Chris Beer of the UK’s Global Web Index on “Understanding the New Audiences: Generation Z” and Colin Lovrinovic of German consulting company Gould Finch, on AI and profitability in publishing.
