Secretos [Secrets] by Jerónimo Tristante: winner of the Logroño Fiction Prize

With his new novel, Secrets, Murcian writer Jerónimo Tristante won the XII Logroño Fiction Award in November 2018, a prize launched by the City Council of Logroño, Editorial Algaida and the Caja Rioja Foundation.

It is a magnificent thriller that takes place in a more or less closed-off environment: a luxury gated community where everyone knows their neighbors’ secrets. Secrets which, when gathered and skillfully used, can become a method of foolproof extortion. Combining topical issues such as the complexity of personal relationships, easy economic advancement, political corruption, etc. with an effective style and mastery of narrative methods, make it a magnificent book.
