Poster for the 2019 Madrid Book Fair launched.

The creator is the Cantabrian, Sara Morante, who becomes the fourth woman to design the poster. Yesterday, the Madrid Book Fair launched the poster for its 78th event at the Cervantes Institute.

It is a work by the Cantabrian, Sara Morante, with which she wanted to pay homage to readers and books, “one of the strongholds of culture and the path of critical thought”. She is the fourth woman to create the poster for the fair, following Ana Juan (2006), Ena Cardenal (2012) and Paula Bonet (2018). At the presentation ceremony, it was also announced that it will have its own lottery ticket for the June 9 ONCE draw. The Madrid Book Fair is to be held this year between May 31 and June 16 under the tagline “A story at every step” and with the Dominican Republic as the special guest nation. At the last event, it hosted a total of 363 exhibitors, more than 2000 writers and more than 400 activities, bringing in more than 2.2 million visitors and 8.2 million Euros in sales.
