In growth terms, there has been a 1.696% growth in 17 years – from 2000 to 2017, although only one Spanish-speaking nation, Mexico, finds itself in the top 10 by volume. Spanish is the second most used language on social networks such as Facebook and Twitter, far ahead of French and Portuguese.
