The panel has granted the award "for exquisite care of its catalog, the quality of its books, and for the respect for its readers and others involved in the book chain."

Media Vaca Publishing House earned the National Award for the Best Cultural Editorial Work for the year 2018 for "the exquisite care of its catalog, the quality of its books, and for the respect for its readers and others involved in the book chain." The award, granted by the Ministry of Culture and Sports, aims at distinguishing the editorial work as a whole of an individual or business who stand out for their outstanding and innovative contribution to Spanish cultural life. The award has an honorary significance, therefore, there is no financial endowment.
