Spanish publishers have published more than 46,640 titles in the first semester of 2012

The ISBN Agency reports this number, based on the titles printed, digital and published in other formats.

Federación de Gremios de Editores de España, FGEE, announced that in the the first semester of 2012, more than 46,640 titles were published in Spain, either printed, digital or in other formats. According to the data, Madrid and Catalonia are the two regions with more editorial activity, with a combined total of 20,268 of published titles.

The number of digital titles registered in the same period was 10,121 or 22 percent of the total of books registered by the ISBN Agency in Spain. Read the complete report here.
