The role of Spain in the birth of the United States

A short story collection retraces the role that Charles III played in the War of Independence between the thirteen colonies against England.

“Under the Flags” is a book that brings together brief stories by twelve authors, including Juan Eslava Galán, Espido Freire, Juan Gómez-Jurado, Clara Sánchez and Arturo Pérez-Reverte. The book is edited by Zenda, a literary website for Spanish and Latin-American writers founded by Arturo Pérez-Reverte in April 2016. The book is a non-commercial publication, meaning that it will not be on sale in bookshops, but will be available to download for free on Zenda’s website. “Under the Flags” is a non-commercial publication; it will not be on sale in bookshops.

In the preface, the President of Iberdrola Ignacio Sánchez Galán writes that the narratives are “a reverberation of history itself that captures particular events through the lens of the authors’ imagination”.
