Editorial Planeta is releasing “El Hobbit” movie edition August 21st

The Spanish edition of “The Hobbit” by J.R.R. Tolkien will be distributed in US and Puerto Rico by Perseus Distribution.

Editorial Planeta is announcing the release of “El Hobbit” movie edition. The book by J.R.R. Tolkien will go on sale August 21st.

Whisked away from his comfortable, unambitious life in his hobbit-hole by Gandalf the wizard and a company of dwarves, Bilbo Baggins finds himself caught up in a plot to raid the treasure hoard of Smaug the Magnificent, a large and very dangerous dragon. The adventures of the well-to-do hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, who lived happily in his comfortable home until a wandering wizard granted his wish.

J.R.R. Tolkien (1892-1973), beloved throughout the world as the creator of "The Hobbit" and "The Lord of the Rings," was a professor of Anglo-Saxon at Oxford, a fellow of Pembroke College, and a fellow of Merton College until his retirement in 1959. His chief interest was the linguistic aspects of the early English written tradition, but even as he studied these classics he was creating a set of his own.
