The digital book represents 4.5% of the publishing market in Spain

Revenue from the sale of electronic books grew in Spain by 14.3% in 2017 compared to 2016, reaching a value of 43.3 million euros.

That is the first conclusion drawn from the Annual Report of the digital book published by Libranda and which is now in its ninth edition. The market, therefore, grows, although it grows slowly. The market share over the whole publishing business is 4.5% (two years ago it was 3%) and the rumor that paper books will continue to dominate the business for many more years than expected seems confirmed . But it is also true that there is a consolidated audience for the electronic book and that its offer is in a very interesting transformation process.
