The new poster of the Madrid Book Fair battles the invisibility of women in literature

The image of the 77th edition of the event, made by illustrator Paula Bonet, is a vindication of the presence of women in literature: "There are many women who are erased when the textbooks are printed".

The image of the 77th edition of the Madrid Book Fair has been unveiled this morning at the Casa de la Panadería in Madrid with the presence of Paula Bonet, author of the 2018 poster, and Manuel Gil, director of the Madrid Book Fair. The person in charge of illustrating the new edition has expressed its gratitude for having received the commission from the Fair that "it is a gift that is also charged with responsibility". Through the image, the artist wanted to make visible the feminine presence in literature.
