Combel wins International Latino Book Award

The publisher got a first prize in the Best Educational Children's Book – Spanish with “Letra a Letra” plus two Honorable Mentions for other titles.

“Letra a Letra” by Angels Navarro and published by Combel won an International Latino Book Award in the category Best Educational Children's Book – Spanish. The publisher also received an Honorable Mention for “Las mil y una noche” by Lluis Farre and Merce Canals in the Best Children's Picture Book – Spanish, and “El vendedor de dulces” by R.K. Narayan, published by Editorial Bambú (India), in the Best Young Adult Fiction – Spanish or Bilingual.

The 14th Annual International Latino Book Award, celebrated in New York early this month, is presented by Latino Literacy Now in partnership with Las Comadres Para Las Americas and the Instituto Cervantes.
