Journalist and writer Carmela Díaz has just published her latest novel, Amor es la respuesta (Love is the Answer), a novel with a wonderfully documented historical setting, a plot in which historical characters intervene, and considerable doses of suspense.
Díaz’s book narrates a female saga and includes innumerable adventures, a treasure hunt, and three love stories. Amor es la respuesta is a novel set in Madrid, London, Istanbul and St. Petersburg during the 1800s, the 1900s, and the present. Amor es la respuesta is the story of a lineage of exceptional women, encompassing five generations. Carmela Díaz’s book begins inside the harems of the Ottoman Empire, giving readers a peek into the realities of such institutions. It goes on to the court of Nicholas II, the last czar of Russia; and ends up entering the lives of a mysterious English lady and her granddaughter, who embarks on a search for her origins.
Carmela Díaz has written five novels. A habitual collaborator of different media outlets, she boasts an extensive trajectory in the world of mass media, communication, and public relations.
