Alba was created in 1993 . In 1995 the publisher started the Classic Alba Collection with Mansfield Park by Jane Austen and Mont-Oriol by Guy de Maupassant. With almost 300 titles its catalog covers authors from the end of the 18th century to the beginning of the 20th century: Goethe, Thomas Mann and Émile Zola among others.
